When you are just starting your dance journey and do not yet feel confident in heels, it is important to consider two things: safety and comfort. We recommend starting with a lower, thicker heel — 7.5 cm to 9 cm. Do not forget about good foot fixation either. Thanks to lacing, the shoes will fit any foot and help prevent sprains, strains, and other unpleasant situations.

2. Pay attention to materials and the sole
In dance, the shoe material matters a lot. Some shoes add slide, while others add grip. For example, suede is a great option for floorwork combinations: you can slide easily and perform the needed element. Patent shoes, however, will be harder to slide in. Leather is durable and easier to care for!
The soles on our dance heels vary. For example, on “VINYL”, “DARKNESS”, “ELASTIC”, and “VOGUE” the sole is smoother, making turns easier. “DIVA” and “PRO DANIEL’s” have strong grip on parquet thanks to the ribbed sole.
3. Size
Dance heels are first and foremost about comfort and safety, and only then about beauty. Please do not choose heels that are too small, too tight, or “a little big for growth”… that is not right. The shoes should fit true to size: nothing should squeeze, and nothing should feel loose. Always try on the pair, and if you order online, compare the sizes with the insole length!
